The Board of Directors and Committee of Crusheen Community Centre CLG bring a wide variety of skills and experience from their professions including financial management, project management, engineering and building, communication, administration, sales and marketing.

Michael O’Doherty | Director & Chairman

Project Manager working closely with each sub-committee, the project management sub-committee and design team to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, safely and to the highest quality and environmental standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Former teacher.
  • Former chairperson of St. Francis Credit Union, Ennis, and joint project manager for the construction of €1m premises.
  • Project managed the construction of a 72-place childcare centre in Templemore.

Marie Hanrahan | Director & Secretary

Supports the Chairman in ensuring smooth functioning of the community centre committee, carries out meticulous document control, organises meetings and disseminates minutes to all members. Will assist particularly with communications and marketing sub-committee.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 18 years’ experience as Personal Assistant to the Presidents of the Limerick Institute of Technology.
  • Qualification in Supervisory Management from Irish Management Institute.
  • Senior Staff Officer at TUS.

Pat Quinn | Director & Treasurer

Member of the Finance Committee for the proposed renovation project to ensure that it is delivered within budget. Administers the weekly community lotto and other fundraising events.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Over 20 years’ experience as an Electronics Engineer.

Shane O’Donnell | Director

Assistant Project Manager & IT Advisor.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Over 20 years of industry experience in R&D engineering and management roles.
  • Manager of Aerospace R&D Centre in Microchip Ireland.
  • Extensive experience working with various agencies such as the IDA, Enterprise Ireland, the European Commission, and the European Space Agency.
  • Chairperson of the Crusheen National School Board of Management.

Nollaig Barry | Director

Head of the Finance and oversees financial management and project delivery within budget.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BA in Accounting & Finance.
  • Financial Controller of Clare Marts Ltd.
  • Former President of the Mid-West Branch of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Geraldine Tynan | Director

Communications and Marketing Committee. Works to optimise the use of community centre for the benefit of the whole community and will continue to manage successful fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Events Manager for Bord Bia London, “The Irish Post” & Smurfit Media UK.
  • Organising Executive for Quantum Exhibitions Ltd.
  • Freelance Event Manager for Tourism Ireland and Ireland Fund of Great Britain.
  • Managed major projects including London St Patrick’s Day Festival.
  • Experienced in appointing contractors, floor plan layout, venue management, risk assessment, health and safety, budget controls and website updates.
  • Current chairperson of Crusheen Youth Club.

Tracey Mannion | Director

Communications and Marketing Committee. Works to optimise the use of community centre for the benefit of the whole community and will continue to manage successful fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Postgraduate in Professional Studies in Special Educational Needs (NUIG). Diploma in Management (UL). Marketing Institute of Ireland Graduateship. APMP Practitioner Certified.
  • Over 25 years’ experience in sales and marketing, including 10 years Global Proposal Manager with DTN.
  • Previous Team Lead and Business Development roles in media and technology.
