Our Community
is Growing
Our new Community Centre will help to service our growing community.
Active Users
Crusheen National School, Heritage Inchicronan, Seniors, Clare Youth Services, GAA, IFA, Apostolic Society, Parish Council, Community Groups, Comhaltas, Crusheen Running Club, Church & Taekwondo Classes are just some of the users associated with Crusheen Community Centre.
Clare Local Development Company Community Survey
In addition to our active users, this survey informed us that our wider community would like to use the Community Centre once it becomes a safe, insulated and flexible building. A community space to provide and host facilities and activities such as:
- a “social hub” for all ages, movie nights
- tea/coffee/refreshments
- a place to celebrate our GAA finals
- night classes, drama, yoga, fitness classes, art, talks
- workshops and skills training courses such as building professional skills, and sustainable living
- meeting place for initiatives such as “fit farmers” and men’s shed
- sporting activities with proper flooring and markings
- hot desks for local people to start or run their business or to welcome visitors to work remotely during their stay or passing through the locality
- accessibility of building to ensure inclusion and full participation

ICT
We also plan to include ICT infrastructure so it will be available for hot-desking, for people who work from home and local business.
‘We have a highly experienced Events Manager on our committee and when we have completed our renovation project we hope to form a nucleus of committed people who will work with the community to organise new and innovative ways of bringing our community together and sharing our ideas, our talents and our insights’.
